+2,467 = 45,149 of 50,000 (90.30%)

4,851 words to go.  10,163 words ahead of the “set” daily pace-to-match.  Roughly six and a half days ahead of schedule.

So that feels good.

But I also feel like I’m flailing a lot.  Like there’s a story in there that didn’t get written but should have, and like I’m lurching more toward the 50,000 mark and less like I’m lurching toward an ending.  This happened to me in 2006; but last year’s came together better.

This one…  It feels like I’ve left something out.  And though I’m confident I’ll wrap up all 50,000, it’s going to take a lot of editing to make it into a real story.

Nevertheless, barring any catastrophes:  I’m on cruise control to “win” NaNoWriMo 2010.

Addendum:  Make that:

+3,501 = 46,183 of 50,000 (92.37%)

Got a bit of a second wind there.
