#open letter to Hillary
Steven Johnson has an open letter to Hillary Clinton re: GTA:SA and “Hot Coffee”. My favorite part:
Another key question: Of all the games that kids play, which ones require the most mental exertion? Parents can play this at home: Try a few rounds of Monopoly or Go Fish with your kids, and see who wins. I suspect most families will find that it’s a relatively even match. Then sit down and try to play “Halo 2″ with the kids. You’ll be lucky if you survive 10 minutes.

This reminds me of an approach I have been taking with people the past few years. As one with a couple CS degrees, I am inevitably tagged as the guy that should help old people with their computer issues… however, when someone asks me a question about computer operation I always advise them to ask any random 13-year-old first.
