so i successfully compiled and used GIMP (by way of fink and X11) last night. The iBook now has graphics, albeit a graphics program that will take a LOT of getting used to. Photoshop it ain’t — but it’ll have to do for now. Anyway, I must say that there’s nothing quite like watching the Terminal windows just scroll by for well over two hours. Not that I sat through all 2 hours.
