DF to DFW: “Best Novel I’ve Ever Read”

by Rob Friesel

Infinite JestWow. I feel so fucking vindicated. John Gruber over at Daring Fireball calls Infinite Jest “the best novel I’ve ever read.” I would take it one step further. This is the most important novel I have read in my lifetime. Gruber cites a passage from the truly glorious Dave Eggers’ forward to the new paperback edition but I won’t bother quoting it here as well. If you haven’t read it, take the rest of the year off and commit yourself to reading it. Hell, at $8 a copy, I might be willing to at least sponsor the hardware.
