/etc/brief

by Rob Friesel

Exhaustion seems to be the name of the game the whole way ’round. A & I took the weekend to refurb the walls in our bedroom to the best of our ability and finally get around to painting it. I managed to get monster blisters on three fingers on my right hand due to the sanding. We would have managed to finish Sunday but ran out of paint and missed picking up another gallon by about 5 minutes (damn those early Sunday hours!) The fumes put the nausea on both of us which was just as well for me since this a.m. I went to see a dr. for the first time in probably 5 years…

For those that have not had the opportunity to see an osteopathic physician as their PCP (aka “Family Dr.”), give one a go. If you’re lucky enough to have insurance, see if your plan covers it. If not, give one a call and see if his rates are competitive vs. the dr. you’re already seeing. I like the osteopathic approach to medicine and health. (More on this in future editions, perhaps.) It was probably the first positive experience I’ve had with a physician. Granted, he didn’t exactly send me away saying I was the picture of health but then again, I didn’t go there b/c I was feeling like gold-plated roses.

Managed to finish the last of the bedroom painting this evening though. Now for melatonin and bed.

currently playing: “Innocente” – Delerium
