NaNoWriMo: 09-Nov

by Rob Friesel

NaNoWriMo: 09-NovWriting location: Once again, just The Chair…

Tonight we’re up to 24,078 words. “Thanks” to all the other NaNos out there for their support. I’ve gotten tons of traffic here, through my profile there, and from my Flickr stream.  (Stoli is getting a lot of action from this occasion, too…)  I guess I didn’t realize that I was so “on it”!

I got to my first big “!!!” moment tonight. I didn’t think I was going to make it. A. & I plowed through two episodes of Six Feet Under (season 5) after dinner and I almost threw my tired ass into bed. I didn’t want to break my momentum though. “Even 200 words tonight will be better than none at all.” (Being five days ahead of pace, I could afford that, right…?) But I knew deep down that if I didn’t write tonight that that would be a very bad sign.

Especially since I was so close. And even then, I thought I would get “right up to it” – – but I found it in me to bring myself over that line in the plot. Things have come together so well so far…
