beach reading

by Rob Friesel

Reading list for the week while we’re laid up, kickin’ it on the beach?

Christopher Moore’s A Dirty Job. Why? Lamb was incredibly good, Blood-Sucking Fiends was entertaining beach fodder in the past, as was Island of the Sequined Love Nun. Plus, I am sooooo judging this book by its cover. (Who wouldn’t?) Plus, this would be a new read. To (you know) round out one of my goals for the year quite ahead of schedule.

…and then we’ve got Margaret Atwood’s Oryx and Crake. I seem to recall reading it — but perhaps I just read about it? (I get fuzzy on that sometimes.) What I know for sure: (1) A. picked up a copy at The Crow, (2) Margaret Atwood’s prose is teh hott, and (3) I’m at the beach this week and need at least two reads.
