Stowe Pinnacle: view from the summit

Perfect late-fall hiking day.  Cold (but felt “brisk” rather than cold) and extremely clear.  A touch of ice on the trail and some snow dusted hither and yon.  About as good a fall hiking day as you could ask for.  Stowe Pinnacle isn’t a terribly long hike but it is pretty steep; and the view is one of the best I have seen in a while.  Tried some new photo techniques at the summit today 1 but oddly enough the best shot was one where I just pointed and shot.

Oh, and The Shed for a post-hike lunch is always welcome.

  1. I tried an HDR of Mt. Mansfield and did a little panoramic-with-the-tripod action.[]
