garden = mulched

Got an early start, headed back over to the garden and took advantage of the overcast-but-not-precipitating sky to finish up some more weeding and get the rest of round one of the straw mulch down. All the rain from yesterday left the soil in quite a damp state. This was (of course) fine by us as far as the plants go but it did make things a bit messy. The weeds are still frickin’ everywhere but we pulled up probably ten pounds worth of little green bastards and laid them to rest on the pile. Then we put down mulch wherever we possibly could. Still have about one bale left over. Not too shabby.
