dream.20110805: a move to DC

by Rob Friesel

In a sudden change of plans, we move our family to the District of Columbia. Our new home is small and brick and horrifically over-priced. (Why have we moved here? Some hasty follow-the-business decision?) I assume that the yard to the house is tiny but it actually seems impossibly large. And overgrown. And the first order of business would be to mow the grass. The house came with an old run-down mower but it’s in the basement. And I cannot figure out how to get into the basement. (Which is just as well; I cannot figure out how to get into the backyard either.) Some of our close friends from Vermont come over for an impromptu house-warming, but we can tell that they’re unhappy with us.
