get oblique

back in action.

KetelOne returns to the fold today with a brand new logic board etc. Went through the usual motions of reporting the updated MAC address to the local sysadmins to get back on to the network at work etc. and launched my productivity back through the roof. Call me superstitious but VNCing across the two machines really does give me a nice boost. Too bad it didn’t come back w/ Tiger pre-loaded on it. So be it…

As a post-script to the whole story… I found it odd that it came back from the repair with some of my system settings changed. The anti-aliasing had been changed and the “require password on wake/return” had been unchecked as well. Rabbit says bad medicine. At least the screen didn’t come back scratched.
