Oh my god! ‘Dave’ is a great underrated movie! I would have to put that on my list and bump Unbreakable to #6 on my list. Great pick.

cripes. oh, his newest, Iron Council, is out. i’m roughly 200 pages in. it rocks.
i still need to call you back, don’t i?
to say that i “despised” Perdido Street Station would be a slight exaggeration. on his recent visit, john-boy convinced me to re-read it from a different angle. so i did. while i still am not as enamoured with its prose as some, my opinion of it did rise. and i grudgingly admit that a major source of my resentment is the fact that it makes its appearance on the top 5 list in question.
and yes, you do owe me a call-back.
