at NYTimes.com — I've yet to see anyone indicate whether this "decreased risk" related to circumcision is merely a correlative factor, or whether these studies have controlled for that; it seems absolutely preposterous that the procedure in and of itself actually affects health in any way. (A more likely explanation is that the circumcision rates correlate with SES and educational factors that better explain modified behaviors and habits which do in fact have positive health benefits.)
