Sitting here waiting for the support on-call cell to ring and getting nothing. Can’t complain about that — though it does bring me back around to thinking about how the service is sketchy out here at best. So where have we been poking our noses lately?

• The miracles of SCIENCE! Rabbit penis grown in a lab! First they use the species to figure out the miracle of birthcontrol and now this!
• Of course I’m starting to get myself hooked on Cult of Mac as well…
  And this particular story has me even doubly hooked because of this suuuuuuuper cool looking script… Double-desktop here I come after all! Though I think I’ll wait until I know that I can afford a replacement…
• There was this terribly interesting article that just straight blew my mind. Who had any idea that there was this much of this type of stuff just hanging out on the web. For shame! SECURITY people.
• *ahem* I’m glad someone gives a shit about D&D still.
• I can see the ad now: “The all new G5 Powerbook from Apple. It’s a lot like having a nuclear reactor in a Ferrari in your lap.“

Work is crazy. Let’s leave that at that.

Life is crazy. After the first house fell through we went out today to go looking. In retrospect, it makes me wish I had stayed at work. We saw a couple of places in Barre that were in our price range. Good start, I guess. Except that both of them were in need of such work that any savings in the purchase price would be eaten up by either replacing the electrical system and/or replacing the roof and/or replacing the exterior siding and/or gutting the kitchen and/or … you get the idea.

It doesn’t “go without saying” — but they’re priced that way for a reason.

Anyway — to do:

1. Fix the Pollxn comment numbering.
2. Finish (er — start) the site redesign.
3. Prepare myself for the continuing annoyances of house hunting.
4. Prep myself for the wackiness that will be work tomorrow.
