Monday a.m. round-up

by Rob Friesel

First… Some hot linking action via Boing^2:

Spent the weekend catching up on house chores. Recycling, birthday present for Mom, and finally (finally!) finished painting the upstairs landing. Ran out of masking tape to actually do the stairs though. /sigh I was out of energy by then anyway. Trim-work is hard to do. Especially with old brushes. Got a lot of work done on my novel as well. Not so much in the writing department as in the “hammering out some of those details” – – got a nice clear picture of where to go next as we round it out. At this pace, ought to have a 1st draft done by year’s end. (But who’s counting?)

The “That Was So Last Week” Method
(Match all of the following conditions: Last Played is in the last 7 days, Play Count is greater than 10, Genre does not contain Mix; Limit to 10 songs selected by least recently played.)

  1. Gus Gus “Purple”
  2. Jayn Hanna “Lost Without You”
  3. Nitzer Ebb vs Thomas E. Heckmann “Join In The Chant (Knarz Is Machine)”
  4. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony “1st of Tha Month”
  5. BT “Orbitus Teranium”
  6. Sphere “Gravi Tech”
  7. Cass & Slide “Mind Rewind”
  8. East West Connection “Once I’ve Been There”
  9. Radiohead “No Surprises”
  10. Ashtrax “Helsinki (Blacklight Dub)”

currently playing: Luomo “Synkro” >> Thievery Corporation “Heaven’s Gonna Burn Your Eyes”

Painting trim work. If you had called and Dad we would have given you some advice. We painted our family room this weekend. With all the wood work, we used small artist brushes to paint around the trim. It only took Dad and I just over an hour to do the room. Can’t wait for you to see it.
