PPK at QuirksBlog with a (mostly) reasonable assessment of this week's -webkit prefix fiasco.
For what it's worth: my opinion: (1) For any vendor to adopt another vendor's prefix is insane, regardless of the rationale; (2) shame on the devs who are only using the -webkit prefix in the first place; (3) though I agree that the vendor prefix system is (as PPK puts it) "developer hostile", the idea of replace vendor prefixes with a universal -beta is even more insane.

Chris Coyier writing at CSS-Tricks about Sass and other CSS preprocessors. It's a fairly long post, but it's good to see someone taking the time and care to write something as thorough and even-handed as this.

I'm not usually a big fan of Gizmodo stories these days… but this piece on Instagram is great.
