get oblique

sunday *yawn* a.m.

For some reason the past two weekends have put the “grown-up” pinch on. Last weekend was meeting with the contractor to all-but-finalize on payment for the bathroom remodelling project (then painting that bad mama-jama) and then yesterday was 2 hours shovelling snow out of the driveway. Sometimes I feel too young for this stuff and want to revert back to having things like a leaky roof be a landlord’s problem. Then I remember how much I hated writing rent checks and it becomes worthwhile again.

Or something along those lines.

So the rest of this weekend will likely be spent with feet up and my arse parked in front of Neverwinter Nights. (I’ve abandoned my monk character in favor of a rogue. That always happens to me though. I’m too tempted to pick locks. That’s just the way it is.) But some time better-spent would likely be a return to trying to get Tomcat up and running on KetelOne — but only if I can figure out how to get it to play nice with Apache. A while back, I had downloaded a pre-packaged Tomcat solutions that supposedly plugs in to Apache2 with a snap. But there’s a big part of me that has no interest in abandoning the Apache server built right in to OS X. The Web Sharing preference pane is more/less a non-issue but I don’t feel like farting around with getting mod_rendezvous up and running under 2 either. /sigh

But why bother with any of this at all? XWiki.

I think I’ll slay some Ogre Champions first though.
