Linkdump for December 6th

at X-Ray Nation (via DF; emphasis added):
My patience wears thin and I start crying. It is hard to see on this video, but real tears wouldn’t stop streaming down my face. About 10 minutes into all this, a Phoenix PD comes to calm me down. I explain to him that there is no reason I should be treated this way and I have every right to be upset. ¶ He then says “they” (aka TSA) saw me coming, have it out for me (from my complaint against TSA the week before when they didn’t know the breast milk rules then either), and I should travel out of a different gate in future weeks.
Un-fucking-believable. Fire every last one of these jackasses. Not just at this gate, but everywhere. I say: find me one story where these guys have thwarted a bombing or a hijacking or we dismantle the agency.

Bingo!

NASA now proving what science fiction authors have been saying since the beginning of the genre: when we find it, we might not even recognize extra-terrestrial life as even being alive.
Love it.

at Raw Story (via DF):
Telling a child that they are engaging in a game is "one of the most common ways" that sexual predators use to convince children to engage in inappropriate contact, Wooden told Raw Story.
Joke all you want about "touch my junk" and people stripping for the pornoscanner, but we need to stop fucking around and shut this shit down.
