Via Boing Boing: Article in the International Herald Tribune warns of the 100-110 volt only iMac G5. While I have yet to find any conspiracy theorists out there commenting on this as some kind of DMCA-esque regional lock-down, I’m prone to go w/ a more parsimonious explanation: To fit the whole computer into 2-inch think slab, they had to eschew a more traditional power supply design (one that can toggle between 110 & 240) for something more straightforward.

But that’s just me.
